NSA Doval believes that combating terrorist financing should be a top priority.

On Tuesday, NSA Ajit Doval made a strong case for countries in the region to prioritise counter-terrorism financing, claiming that money is the “lifeblood” of terrorism.

He referred to Central Asia as India’s “extended neighbourhood,” adding that the region is given “high priority” by New Delhi. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are represented by NSAs, while Turkmenistan is represented by its ambassador to India.

“Afghanistan is of great concern to all of us.” “In terms of immediate priorities and the way forward, India’s concerns and goals are similar to those of many of us gathered around the table,” he said. Doval also stated that connectivity with Central Asian countries remains a top priority for India, and that the government is willing to collaborate, invest, and build connectivity in the regiments.
