UNSC counter-terror meet in Mumbai to zero in on utilization of robots by psychological militants.

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Counter-Terrorism Committee, which India will chair, will meet on October 28-29 in Mumbai with a key focus on the use of emerging technologies, including drones, by the terrorists.

The assembly will focus on the use of new and rising applied sciences for terrorism functions, the UN stated in a press release forward of the assembly, being held exterior its headquarters for the primary time in seven years.

“The special meeting will focus on three areas – Internet and social media; terrorism financing; and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) – where emerging technologies are experiencing rapid development, growing use by member states (including for security and counter-terrorism purposes), and increasing threats of abuse for terrorist purposes,” the UN stated.

The meet will probably be held on the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai, which was below siege throughout the 26/11 terror assaults.
