On June 1st, 2023, Air Marshal Rajesh Kumar Anand, recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal, assumed the position of Air Officer-in-Charge Administration (AOA). The Air Marshal, a graduate of the National Defence Academy, was appointed an air traffic controller in the Indian Air Force’s administrative branch on June 13, 1987. He completed the Singapore Aviation Academy’s Area Control Course as well as the College of Air Warfare’s Higher Air Command Course.
The Air Marshal has held a number of field and staff positions throughout the course of a career spanning more than 36 years. He was Director General (Administration) at Air Headquarters in New Delhi before being given his current position.
In January 2022, the President of India presented him with the Vishisht Seva Medal in recognition of his outstanding service.
