Today was the Air Force Association’s (AFA) 43rd Annual Day. In honor of those members of the armed forces who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the country, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retd), President of the Air Force Association, lay a wreath at the National War Memorial in the morning of September 20 on behalf of all IAF Veterans. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was conducted the same day at the Air Force Auditorium at Subroto Park, New Delhi, in its place.
The AGM’s chief guest was Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, who serves as the CAS. The CAS gave an overview of the IAF’s accomplishments over the previous year as well as its future objectives for service during his speech to the veterans in attendance at the conference. The CAS recognized the veterans’ bravery, diligence, and sacrifice, which contributed to the IAF’s escalating status and might over time. Three exceptional airmen who have committed their lives to the AFA’s cause were honored by the CAS. Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to individuals who had made notable donations to AFA for the sake of the organization. The meeting also had several retired Chiefs of the Air Staff, and serving officers in attendance.
The Air Force Association is a non-governmental organization that actively promotes the welfare of airmen and their families. The Association is also strongly committed to easing the suffering of orphans and widows. The Association was founded on September 15, 1980, with Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh DFC as its patron. Twenty of its branches are located all throughout the nation. It also has two branches in Australia and the UK. It has 6190 spouse members and over 92141 air veteran members.
