Bharat Forge announced the delivery of 16 “Kalyani M4” quick reaction armoured fighting vehicles to the Indian Army for United Nations Peacekeeping deployment on Monday.
According to the Pune-based engineering firm, the Kalyani M4 is a cutting-edge armoured personnel carrier, Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicle (Heavy), protecting occupants against high-speed missiles and threats such as mine bursts and grenades.
According to the company, “Bharat Forge manufactures the vehicle, which can carry an Army platoon in full combat gear. The Kalyani M4 completed a series of harsh vehicle trials in some of India’s most difficult regions. The trials were held in the frigid terrains of Leh and Ladakh, as well as the harsh deserts of Rann of Kutch.”
