Today, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari left for a four-day official trip to Sri Lanka. The Honourable President of Sri Lanka, the Honourable Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, the Honourable State Minister of Defence, the Chief of the Defence Staff, the Commanders of the Sri Lankan Army, Navy, and Air Force, and the Defence Secretary are all expected to be met by the CAS during the visit.
The CAS is visiting Sri Lanka on the invitation of the Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal SK Pathirana. The CAS will tour the Sri Lankan Air Force Academy and speak with student officers at the National Defence College while there. The CAS’s visit will strengthen the nations’ already-strong professional ties and bonds of mutual cooperation.
