On Friday, the website for the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund was inaugurated by the minister of defence Rajnath Singh (AFBCWF). According to a senior Army source, the AFBCWF is a tri-service fund that is used to provide immediate financial support as an ex-gratia to the families of our soldiers, sailors, and airmen who lose their lives or suffer severe injuries while participating in active military operations. The “Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot” (MBKS) site was introduced during a ceremony held at this location’s National War Memorial complex.
In his speech, Army Chief Gen. Manoj Pande stated that despite difficulties, all three branches of the armed forces had faithfully discharged their duties. And, he said, “And, soldiers are the base of this glorious tradition,”
“This website will help in providing economic aid in a “transparent and simple manner,” Gen Pande said. In a video message, actor Amitabh Bachchan asked viewers to donate to the cause. He is the initiative’s “Goodwill Ambassador.”
