According to sources from the DRDO , India successfully tested the next generation medium-range ballistic missile Agni Prime on Friday off the coast of Odisha. Around 9.45 am, they reported, a mobile launcher from the APJ Abdul Kalam Island launched a test missile from the sleek rocket. During the test, the solid-fueled canisterized missile complied with all mission requirements, they stated.
According to the officials, radars and telemetry equipment set up at various sites recorded and monitored the ship’s entire navigation. They claimed that the missile’s effective range is between 1,000 km and 2,000 km.
The missile’s most recent test, which was also successful, was carried out on December 18 of last year from the same site.
