The greatest cooperative security exercise between the Israeli Embassy in India and the Indian security forces was held last week in New Delhi to test the effectiveness of emergency measures in the event of future terrorist strikes.
The goal of the exercise was to coordinate and evaluate how well all of the security personnel were prepared to handle any potential attacks in the future.
“To assure the readiness & effectiveness of contingency preparations for any type of terrorist attacks, @IsraelinIndia, #MHA, @DelhiPolice, and special security forces from #India performed the largest combined security drill last week.
This will strengthen our partnership even more “the official Twitter account of the Israeli Embassy in India stated on friday.
Speaking at the event was HE Naor Gilon, the Israeli ambassador to India “Together with Indian security services, this was the largest security exercise of its type.
We appreciate what they did.
These cooperative exercises strengthen our nations’ security and defence cooperation while fostering a sense of shared ideals in order to promote world stability.
In order to make this planet safer, we are dedicated to maintaining our close collaboration.”
The Ministry of Home Affairs, the Delhi Police, the National Security Guard, and regional emergency services including the fire department and traffic police all took part in the combined security drill.
To ensure the readiness and effectiveness of backup plans for potential terrorist attacks, day and night drills were held at the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi.
The respective agencies’ elite forces were mobilised based on a mock exercise.
Delhi Traffic Police was in charge of regulating traffic on the neighbouring roads.
The exercise gave the Israeli Embassy security personnel and the Indian Embassy security forces a chance to collaborate and streamline security drills and procedures, improving communication and partnership in our shared battle against terrorism.
New Delhi and Israel have a close relationship, according to Roey Gilad, Ambassador, Center for Policy Research, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also noted that the two nations’ cooperation has grown stronger.
After the establishment of a new government in Jerusalem, Gilad spoke on the relationship between India and Israel “In previous decades, Israel and India have established a solid friendship.
Additionally, it affects leadership. Israel, a regional giant, and India, a global behemoth, are collaborating more frequently.”
Israeli Ambassador to India Naor Gilon had said the big boost to change in the relationship between the two countries came after a first-ever historic visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel followed by Netanyahu’s visit to India.
“We have to acknowledge that there have been visits before those of the Indian President and Israeli President, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, but the visit of PM Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to India on January 18 of 2017 was a game changer for relations between the two countries,” continued Gilon.
In 1992, India and Israel formally established diplomatic ties, which have since grown into a complex cooperation. The two countries’ full diplomatic relations were established in 1992, despite the fact that the relationship had a slower than anticipated start. The Israeli envoy described how the two nations’ relations were elevated to the level of a strategic partnership and how this opened up new opportunities for collaboration.
Israel’s Water Attache position, which promotes the exchange of Israeli best practises and technologies for improvements in India’s water management sector, is unique to India.
