Lieutenant Colonel Sanjeev Malik, an officer in the Army Medical Corps, created history at the 42nd World Medicine and Health Games in Colombia by taking home five gold medals. He is currently stationed at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi with the President’s Body Guards.
With his victories in the cross-country, 1500, 3000, 5000, and 800 meters, he is the only athlete in 2023 to accomplish this feat and one of the few since the Games started in 1978.
