Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, the commander of the Northern Army, declared on Tuesday that the Indian Army is prepared to follow out any directives issued by the Indian government, including retaking Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Indian Army will carry out any order given by the Government of India.”
We will be prepared whenever such directives are given, Dwivedi assured.
According to a media report, Dwivedi stated, “The military is always ready to ensure that the ceasefire accord is never broken since it is in the interest of both nations.”
The median age of the population is under 25.
The paramilitary and police forces will absorb some, we will absorb others, and the others can work for themselves if we accept them as agnives, team them up, and send them back, he said.
Dwivedi’s remarks come just a few weeks after Rajnath Singh, the Union Defense Minister, made a suggestion that some of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) should be given back.
Singh claimed that Pakistan had abandoned India and was “committing atrocities” against the Kashmiri people on October 27.
“We have started developing Kashmir and will not stop till we reach Gilgit and Baltistan,” the minister said. “In PoK, we feel Kashmiris’ sorrow.
In addition, Singh asserted that Pakistan is bringing Lashkar terrorists into India under the guise of Kashmiriyat and that these militants’ primary objective is to attack India.
