Five (five) nodes have been identified in the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC), including Chennai, Coimbatore, Hosur, Salem, and Tiruchirappalli. 53 Industries & Organizations have made preparations through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), among other means, for a possible investment of Rs 11,794 crore in TNDIC, according to information obtained from the Government of Tamil Nadu. The organisations and industries have already invested a total of Rs 3,861 crore. The establishment of new industries creates prospects for both direct and indirect employment in a region. The support that the Government of Tamil Nadu occasionally requests for the growth of TNDIC is duly considered.
