The Third Battalion of the Naga Regiment was awarded the prestigious “President’s Colours” by General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, on October 13, 2023, at the Kumaon Regimental Center in Ranikhet, Uttarakhand.
The Army Chief commended the Naga Regiment’s strong traditions in all areas of military life, including operations, training, and sports, after reviewing the parade. The COAS expressed his gratitude to the newly raised unit for their outstanding achievement in such a short period of time and sent his best wishes to all ranks for their continued proud service to the country.
The Colonel of the Kumaon and Naga Regiment and Kumaon Scouts, Lieutenant General RP Kalita, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Central Command, and a sizable number of serving and retired personnel also attended the color presentation parade.
