On June 23, 2023, General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), paid a visit to the South Western Command in Jaipur. Lieutenant General BS Raju, General Officer Commanding-In-Chief, South Western Command, welcomed him. The CDS spoke with senior officers of the Indian Army and Indian Air Force during the tour. He also spoke on the Command’s operational facets.
Speaking to the officers, the CDS stressed the dedication of the Armed Forces to enhancing teamwork, maximising resource allocation, and fostering an atmosphere that would emphasise the significance of synergy and modernization of the Armed Forces. He emphasised the importance of Aatmanirbharta in defence and exhorted the warriors to be Ready, Resurgent, and Relevant in the modern period. He stressed the need for soldiers to be current on evolving cyber threats, countermeasures, and information technology trends. He praised the Command for being operationally prepared and urged all ranks to keep aiming for greatness.
