According to state broadcaster CCTV on Thursday, President Xi Jinping stated that China is eager to cooperate with the United States to develop solutions for harmony that will benefit both countries.
In a message to the National Committee for US-China Relations event on Wednesday, Xi said that China and the United States should improve their communication and collaboration to contribute to world stability.
China’s policy towards Taiwan, China’s contacts with Russia, and more lately U.S. efforts to stop its semiconductor businesses from selling technology to Chinese corporations have all been points of contention between the two nations.

A recent wave of trips to Taiwan by American politicians upset China. The self-governing island, which China claims as its own, was receiving “dangerous signals,” according to China, which claimed this.
Xi, who just won an unprecedented third term as the head of the Communist Party in charge of the world’s second-largest economy, has criticised foreign meddling in Taiwan and recently declared that China will never give up the right to use force against it.
President of the United States Joe Biden declared on Wednesday that “the United States does not seek conflict with China.”
