Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir inaugurated the 33rd Police-Public Mela on Sunday at Gulshan Ground in Jammu.
According to the LG, the Police-Public Mela has emerged as a powerful platform for police officers and the general public to interact and celebrate their shared heritage. He praised the Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (JKPWWA) for its year-round efforts to address the concerns of families of martyrs and serving personnel. According to the LG, the Association is doing outstanding work in promoting welfare measures for JKP Jawans and their families. The LG also paid tribute to the J&K Police martyrs who gave their lives to serve and protect the nation.
The LG stated that we will be eternally grateful to our Bravehearts and their families who made supreme sacrifices for the country’s sovereignty and integrity. Later, the LG visited the stalls set up by various police establishments, districts, and JKRLM, as well as interacted with police families.
