The prime minister’s vision has guided India’s foreign policy as it has evolved to take on leadership positions on the international arena. India will take over the G20 Presidency on December 1, 2022, marking a significant stride in this direction. “The G20 Presidency offers a unique opportunity to India to contribute to the global agenda on pressing issues of international importance. The logo, theme and website of our G20 Presidency would reflect India’s message and overarching priorities to the world,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in an earlier release.
The G20 is the top international economic cooperation conference, comprising about 75% of worldwide commerce, 85% of the global GDP, and around two-thirds of the world’s population. Across the duration of its G20 Presidency, India will host 200 meetings in 32 distinct industries at various venues all over the country. The G20 Summit, which will take place in 2019, will be one of the most notable international events that India will host.
