RRM gives Raksha Mantri Trophy for Best Sainik School for the last three years 

50th All India Sainik Schools Principals’ conference held in New Delhi

Rajya Raksha Mantri Mr. Ajay Bhatt Following the completion of the admissions process for the Academic Year 2023–2024, Shri Ajay Bhatt commended the Sainik Schools Society for its efforts in reaching the milestone of enrolling more than 1000 lady cadets into Sainik Schools. 

With 674 females currently enrolled across all Sainik Schools, the provision that was initially implemented as a pilot project in 2018–19 at Sainik School Chhinchhip with the admission of six girls and later expanded to other Sainik Schools in the academic year 2021–22 has proven to be successful. 

He was speaking at the New Delhi-based 50th All India Sainik Schools Principals’ Conference on 08- 09 February, 2023.

“I am overjoyed to learn that the enrollment of females in Sainik Schools, which began as a trial project five years ago, is now a regular occurrence. Girls are performing incredibly well and earning high marks on the entrance exam. In the new Sainik Schools, girls are also admitted, he noted.

In addition to praising the Sainik Schools for their involvement in the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy, Shri Ajay Bhatt noted that this effort is furthering the government of India’s aim for women’s empowerment and equal chances for them (INA). 335 cadets from Sainik Schools entered the NDA/INA during the course of the last three academic years.

Raksha Rajya Mantri awarded Raksha Mantri Trophy for the best school of the year to the following Sainik schools, for their contribution in sending maximum percentage of cadets to National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA) amongst all the Sainik Schools.

(i)       Best School Year 2020 – Sainik School Ghorakhal.

(ii)      Best School Year 2021 – Sainik School Rewa.

(iii)     Best School Year 2022 – Sainik School Kapurthala.

 For their performance in CBSE board examination, 10th Class Merit Certificate and 12th Class Merit Certificate were awarded to the following schools:

b)       10th Class Merit Certificate:-

  1. Best School 2019-20- Sainik School Nalanda.
  2. Best School 2020-21- Sainik School Gopalganj.
  3. Best School 2021-22- Sainik School Nalanda.

(c)      12th Class Merit Certificate:-

  1. Best School 2019-20- Sainik School Nalanda.
  2. Best School 2020-21- Sainik School Gopalganj.
  3. Best School 2021-22- Sainik School Nalanda. In his interactions with Sainik School principals, Shri Ajay Bhatt asked them to help the cadets become effective in their academics while also instilling in them moral values and a nation-first mindset. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plans, he also expressed his happiness with the Public Private Participation Model’s use in the launching of new Sainik Schools around the nation.The All India Sainik Schools Principals’ Conference aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Sainik Schools, build capacity to improve training, and boost administrative quality of the schools. Principals from 18 new Sainik Schools and 33 current Sainik Schools attended the conference. On important and current topics like “Promotion of Ethical Practices,” “Implementation of Academic Plus Curriculum,” “Implementation of NCC,” “Reinforcing Civic Values Among the Cadets,” and “Strategies for Challenging Gender Stereotypical Choices in Sainik Schools,” presentations and discussions were held during the conference.
