Exercise Samudra Laksamana is being conducted at/off Visakhapatnam from February 28 to March 2. The Royal Malaysian Ship KD Lekir and the Indian Naval Ship Kiltan are taking part in the third iteration of this exercise, which consists of professional harbor exchanges followed by an operational phase at sea.
The crews of both ships will engage in a variety of professional activities while in port, including sporting events, subject matter expert exchanges on subjects of shared interest, and more. The purpose of these exchanges is to expand collaboration on maritime issues, exchange best practices, and improve the body of knowledge.
Units would work together to hone skills while carrying out a variety of activities at sea during the sea phase.
The goal of the exercise is to improve communication and cooperation between the Royal Malaysian Navy and the Indian Navy.
