On June 28th, the INS Sunayna, headquartered at Southern Naval Command Kochi, arrived in Port Beira, Mozambique. The ship was welcomed by members of the Mozambique Navy and DA Pretoria amid military band fanfare. Both Navies will participate in professional exchanges, cross-deck visits, and sporting events in order to strengthen their maritime collaboration and interoperability. As part of the community engagement project of the Indian Navy, the ship will run a medical camp. After the port phase is finished, a cooperative EEZ surveillance with the Mozambique Navy is also anticipated.
