The Government on Wednesday appointed former Eastern Army Commander Lt. General Anil Chauhan (Retd) as the following(2nd) Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) turning into the first three-star retiree officer to be appointed to a four-star rank officer inside the Army after the demise of nation’s first CDS Gen.Bipin Rawat in a unlucky helicopter crash in December 2021.
