The Chief of Defence Staff visits the Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps’ headquarters and forward areas in North Bengal.

On April 8 and 9, 2023, General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), and the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Trishakti Corps visited Air Force Station and forward locations in North Bengal. 

He examined the region’s operational and logistical readiness as well as the development of the infrastructure. 

The CDS also engaged with the troops stationed in the outlying areas and praised their professionalism and excellent morale.

The operational situation along the northern frontiers of Sikkim was explained to General Anil Chauhan during his visit to the Trishakti Corps headquarters in Sukna. In instances of natural calamities like the recent avalanche in East Sikkim, he lauded the formation for guaranteeing force preservation while also reaching out to help the local government and populace.

The CDS instructed the formation to concentrate on working out hard and to always be on guard. He also emphasised the need for soldiers to be current with developing cyber threats, countermeasures, and information technology developments.
