Indian Navy to procure 60 jets under 1400 crore program

ADA to ready Aircraft carrier-based fighter TEDBF for the Indian Navy by 2026. The first flight is planned for 2026, and the vehicle is expected to enter service by 2032. The TEDBF will replace the MiG-29K on INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant. The TEDBF is being tested at the INS Hansa, Goa, Shore Based Test Facility (SBTF). Two General Electric F414 diesel engines power the aircraft with a thrust of 5965

As search continues for good fighter jet Indian Navy is gearing up its carrier based fleet with a fighter which is capable for dual combat roles. As migs where retiring in fast pace Navy will require ample of planes which can take the place of ageing migs.

Indian Navy is ensuring that procurement of planes should be done in fast process as tension around Indian Ocean increases seemingly.
