Indian Coast Guard DG VS Pathania commissioned ‘Kamla Devi’ in ICG’s fleet

Director General of the Indian Coast Guard VS Pathania stated on Thursday that because of the nation’s vital location in the Indian Ocean, the maritime force is dedicated to protecting its extensive coastline. He declared that the ICG is committed to defending the nation’s sovereign maritime interests in the Indian Ocean region.

“India being strategically located in the Indian Ocean region, the ICG is committed to safeguard the country ‘s vast coastline,” Pathania said, commissioning the newest entrant in the ICG’s fleet, ICGS Kamla Devi.

He said that the addition of Kamla Devi to the ICG fleet would increase India’s capacity for maritime security, particularly along its eastern coast.

He said that the defence PSU GRSE in this location built the first Indian Coast Guard ship and that the Kamla Devi, a cutting-edge rapid patrol vessel, is its most recent creation. RG PTI AMR RG
