India committed to implement SCO mandate: Shri Rajnath Singh during meeting with SCO Secretary General

Raksha Mantri On April 28, 2023, in New Delhi, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Defence Ministers’ meeting, Shri Rajnath Singh met privately with the defence ministers of Uzbekistan (Lt. Gen. Bakhodir Kurbanov), Belarus (Lt. Gen. Victor Khrenin), and Kyrgyzstan (Lt. Gen. Bekbolotov B Asankalievich). During the meetings, the full range of defence cooperation with the three nations was reviewed with a focus on identifying advantageous channels for advancing bilateral ties. Discussions also included topics of shared interest.

After the meeting of the SCO Defence Minister was over, Mr. Zhang Ming, the SCO Secretary General, also made a visit to the Raksha Mantri. The activities that India undertook while serving as chairman were discussed. The Secretary General was informed by Shri Rajnath Singh that India is dedicated to making a positive contribution to carrying out the SCO’s mandate.
