On March 28, 2023, in New Delhi, the Defence Secretary, Shri Giridhar Aramane, and the State Secretary and Head of Romania’s Department for Defense Strategy, Planning, and International Affairs, Ms. Simona Cojocaru, conducted a bilateral discussion on defence cooperation.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including military-to-military cooperation, military education and training, defence co-development and co-production, and capacity building.
An Agreement on Defense Cooperation was signed by both nations, significantly advancing their mutual defence cooperation.
Both parties underlined their willingness to cooperate to strengthen relations in all areas of the defence industry and discussed their thoughts on the threats to regional security.
